Clinicians

Nancy Mitrano, MS, PT

Nancy Mitrano, MS, PT, CMP
is the owner of our clinic. She has been in the field of physical therapy since 1990.

She graduated from the University of Washington and specializes in manual therapy, orthopedics, gait training analysis, and the spine.

Her background has consisted of medical management, a behaviorist for the morbidly obese, and a masters degree in exercise physiology.

She opened Impact Physical Therapy with the vision of it being a multidisciplinary clinic. One that focuses on one-on-one patient care, as well as various specialties by each individual therapist. She wanted to provide an environment for physical therapists to progress their skills by providing a weekly mentor/round robin session, guest speakers, and combined course work to be shared by the entire staff.

Her side interests include a passion for animals and athleticism.

Mary Lee Snorteland, PT
Mary Lee Snorteland has been in private practice for twenty years on First Hill in Seattle relocating to Impact PT in 2005 as an independent practitioner.

She shares their vision of one to one quality care, a multidisciplinary approach and superb service.

Her areas of expertise are manual therapy, orthopedics and the physical therapy management of imflammatory diseases. She has received extensive continuing education since graduating from the University of Colorado.

Jenna Drey, DPT
Jenna is a Physical Therapy graduate from the University of Mary located in Bismarck, ND. Originally from South Dakota, she received her Bachelor of Biology from Northern State University.

Jenna's special interests consist of manual/rehabilitative care and woman's health. Her future plans include furthering her education in manual techniques and pelvic floor rehabilitation. She enjoys recreational activities, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

Cole Monson, DPT
Cole graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and then went on to graduate with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Mary.

Cole enjoys working with people of all ages and educating them on the best strategies for their individual rehabilitation. He is also interested in all of the diversity that the physical therapy field has to offer, especially manual therapy, sports medicine, and orthopedic rehabilitation. A member of the Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy sections of the APTA.

He continues with his ongoing education and loves the Northwest area as it provides many opportunities for recreational and outdoor activities. He especially enjoys activities such as hiking, biking, and various other sporting activities.

Mark Pierce, ATC/L, MS, MA: Athletic Trainer
Mark's commitment to staying on the cutting edge of orthopedic rehabilitation and sports medicine is met through ongoing education in biomechanics, orthotics, manual therapy techniques, and exercise science. His success in the field stems from the philosophy of The Patient or Client Always Comes First.

Mark co-authored both editions of Conditioning for Outdoor Fitness, one of the most successful books in the Mountaineers catalog.

Mark is on the clinical faculty of Bastyr University in Seattle, the nations leading Naturopathic Physician's School. He is a consultant to the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Association, and the University of Taiwan.

Pierce earned a Masters of Science degree in exercise physiology and sports medicine and has been a practicing Athletic Trainer since 1983, certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association.

An accomplished athlete, Pierce is a two-time All American in Track & Field placing third in the 1981 NCAA National Track & Field Championships and was the 1983 NCAA Javelin Champion. After a throwing injury at the 1984 Olympic Trials he turned to competitive body building, winning top regional competitions from 1985 to 1990. Although no longer participating in athletic competitions, he maintains a healthy lifestyle through consistent exercise, proper nutrition and positive thought.

Massage Therapists

Kim Kuzara LMP
Kim graduated from Ashmead college with a certificate in massage therapy in 2003 and received a Washington State License in 2003.

Kim's training is in Swedish, sports, pregnancy, seated and treatment massage. Kim has been working at a spa in West Seattle for over a year and frequently attends continuing education courses to further her knowledge and to better help her clients/patients.

She also enjoys yoga, gardening and cooking.

Excercise Specialists

Dori Eastham recently finished EMT school (Emergency Medical Technician) and successfully passed the National Board examination in March 2010.

In 2008 she graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in International Studies. She studied four languages including Spanish, English, Korean, and Tagalog. In the future she plans to attend nursing school to become an emergency room nurse.

Ackerly Shellberg is enrolled at PIMA Medical Institute in Seattle to become
a Physical Therapist Assistant.  If you're wondering who he is in the raft,
he's the guide (all the way in the back) navigating a class three rapid on
the South Fork of the American River in CA.

Ackerly is scheduled to
graduate in June of 2011 at which point he can begin his career at Impact
P.T.

Office Staff

Sarah Fritz, Business Manager
Sarah began working for a Radiology company in Silverdale, Washington. Worked in the mammography department doing data entry and transcription. She moved to Europe in 2001 and returned to Washington in 2004. Sarah began working at Impact Physical Therapy in April of 2004.

When not working, Sarah enjoys spending time with her daughter, enjoying a day at the park and watching movies.

Julie Hanley, Billing
Julie has been working in the medical field for over 17 years. Julie first worked in Skilled Nursing Facilities then onto more, one on one Physical Therapy billing in a private practice setting.

Julie spends her free time with her husband, they love to travel and spend their time seeing the sights of the Pacific Northwest.

Erica Ward
is a recent graduate of Edmonds Community College and actually came to us as an intern. She has since received Certification in Medical Administration.

Erica is a native of Oklahoma, but came to the beautiful state of Washington in 2001 and has made it her home. In her free time she enjoys playing and training with her puppy Zoe, a Toy Australian Shepherd and relaxing with her fiance' and Khaki (the cat).
